Plans and billing
What Free and Maker include, and where to move to Maker and manage billing
Glitterball has two licences: Free and Maker. Recording length is 30 minutes on both. Current prices are also on the pricing page.
Free
$0, forever.
- 2 walkthroughs a week
- Live interactive and video walkthroughs
- Guest viewer access: anyone with the link watches without an account
- Prototype commenting
- MCP access, so your coding agent reads the feedback
- Teams of any size, and 10 hosted uploads a month
Maker
$10 per person a month. Your plan is yours: it goes with you into every team you're on, and teams themselves are free. If you have a discount code, enter it on the checkout page.
- Unlimited walkthroughs
- Video commenting on your prototypes
- Questions for your audience, asked at a moment in a walkthrough
Maker also brings 200 hosted uploads a month. Unlimited is subject to fair use of 50 walkthroughs a week; email help@glitterball.dev if you need more.
How the week is counted
Free counts the walkthroughs you record over the last 7 days, in every workspace you're in, not a calendar week. Each one counts for 7 days, then its place frees up. Watching, commenting, replaying and new versions of a prototype never count. If you're at the limit, Glitterball tells you before you start recording, and when the next one fits.
Move to Maker and manage billing
You handle your own plan from the web app, from any workspace.
- Open /app
- Choose Plan in the sidebar
- Choose Upgrade to Maker
Payment is by card through Stripe, which also handles sales tax and VAT. Manage billing opens the billing portal for the card, invoices and cancelling. A cancelled subscription runs to the end of the period you've paid for, then you move back to Free.
Workspaces that were on the old Pro or Team licences are on Maker now.
Limits before payments open
Until Maker opens for payment, the limits above are shown but not enforced, and the Plans dialog offers Request Maker instead of checkout.
