Comments
Leave comments pinned to the live prototype or to a moment in a walkthrough, in text, video or both
Comments in Glitterball are pinned to a spot: a place on the prototype, or a moment and an element in a walkthrough. Anyone who can see the version can read its comments. To post, add your name or sign in.
Comment on the live prototype
On a prototype with the Glitterball bar:
- Choose Comment in the bar. It shows how many comments are on this page.
- Click the spot you want to comment on. Press Esc or Cancel to stop.
- Type in Add a comment and choose Post
If you're not signed in, add your name to post as a guest, or choose Sign in. A small Glitterball window opens to sign you in with your email code, then closes and returns you to the prototype.
Open comments stay pinned on the page. Click a pin to read the thread and reply.
Video comments
You can add a short video to any comment or reply on a prototype whose workspace is on Maker.
- In the comment box, choose the camera icon (Add a video)
- Allow the camera and microphone for the page if your browser asks
- Choose Record. A video can be up to 1 minute.
- Choose Retake to try again, or the cross (Remove the video) to drop it
- Add a note if you like (Add a note (optional)), then choose Post
Comment on a walkthrough's share page
On a walkthrough's share page, a comment pins to the moment in the recording as well as the element, so readers can jump to it. Threads there also support:
- Replies, which reopen a resolved thread
- @mentions of people in your workspace and anyone already in the thread
- Reactions
- Resolve and Reopen. Resolved threads leave the live prototype.
Who can see and manage comments
- If the version is shared, anyone with the link can read its comments
- If it isn't, only workspace members can read them, and each person can see their own
- Only the author can edit a comment
- The author or a member of the workspace can resolve or delete a thread
Answers to questions
Answers to a walkthrough's questions are comments too. See Ask questions in a walkthrough.
Limits
