Create your account and workspace
Continue with GitHub, Google or an emailed code, then join a team or start one
There is no password. You sign in with a six-digit code sent to your email, and the same step creates your account the first time.
Continue
Signing up and signing in are the same step, everywhere Glitterball asks: the web app, the recording window and the comment sign-in.
- Go to /app, or choose Record on a prototype's Glitterball bar
- Choose Continue with GitHub or Continue with Google, or enter your work email and choose Continue with email
- For email, enter the 6-digit code from the email and choose Continue
A code works once and lasts 10 minutes. If it doesn't arrive, see Troubleshooting. Accounts with the same verified email are linked, whichever way you continue.
Choose how you'll work
The first time you sign in with email, Glitterball asks for your first name. Then it asks you to join a team or start one, and to choose a plan. A line at the top shows how far through you are, and refreshing keeps your place.
Join a team
- If a teammate invited your email address, the invite is listed. Choose Join.
- Teams that people at your company already use are listed too. Choose Join and you're on the team.
- If a teammate sent you the team's link, open it. If you have its code (it looks like
ABCD-EFGH-JKMN), enter it and choose Join with code. Either works from any account, whatever email you signed in with.
Start a team
Enter a team name and choose Start the team. Teams are free and have no seats. Everyone on one works on their own plan. See Plans and billing.
Choose a plan
Pick Continue on Free or Start Maker. You can change plan any time under Plan in the sidebar.
Workspaces
Everyone has a personal workspace, plus one for each team they belong to. Prototypes and walkthroughs belong to a workspace, so teammates see each other's work and nobody else does. Switch workspaces from the menu at the top of the web app.
Next
Add Glitterball to a prototype so you can record on it.
