Terms of service

Last updated: 13 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Mark Boyes-Smith, trading as Glitterball ("Glitterball", "we") for using glitterball.dev, the Glitterball package and related services (the "Service"). If you use Glitterball for a company, you agree to these terms for that company.

1. Accounts

You need an account to record walkthroughs. Keep your sign-in secure, and tell us at help@glitterball.dev if you think someone else has used it. Workspace owners decide who joins their workspace and what role each member has.

2. Your content

You own what you put into Glitterball: prototypes, recordings, narration, comments and uploads ("Your Content"). You give us permission to store, process, transcribe, summarise and display Your Content only to provide the Service to you and the people you share with. We don't claim ownership, and we don't use Your Content to train AI models.

You're responsible for Your Content. Make sure you have the right to record and share it. Before you record anyone else, for example in a camera recording, get their permission. Don't type real personal data into prototypes you record: anything but password, email and phone fields is captured.

3. Sharing

A share link lets anyone who has it see what it shows, until you delete the walkthrough or change the link. You choose what to share and with whom.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Glitterball to:

We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first.

5. Plans and payment

Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Settings, and your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for. Fees don't include taxes, which we add where required. There are no refunds for partial periods, unless the law requires them. We'll give at least 30 days' notice of a price change.

6. AI features

Transcripts and summaries are made by AI models and can be wrong. Check anything that matters.

7. Availability

We work to keep Glitterball available, but it's provided "as is" without guarantees of uptime or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent the law allows.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

9. Ending

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. We can end or suspend the Service for you if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we shut down the Service, we'll give at least 30 days' notice so you can download your data.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email account holders at least 14 days before it takes effect. Using Glitterball after that means you accept the change.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes go to the courts of England and Wales, but if you live elsewhere in the UK or the EU as a consumer, you keep the protections and courts your local law gives you.
